CEDARS MEDITERRANEAN FOODS REVIEW AND ~~~GIVEAWAY~~~

I love doing reviews for local companies that I believe in and enjoy. Cedar's products are spectacular!!
"It all began with an idea and a passion during the mid 1980’s in the Merrimack Valley, about 35 miles north of Boston. Founder Abe Hanna’s passion was for Mediterranean foods. His idea was to put these healthy and great tasting foods into the mouths of everyday American people. Noticing the lack of Mediterranean foods in local grocery stores, the Cedar’s family knew it had a mission to fulfill.

In no time, Hommus and Taboule Salad under the Cedar’s brand could be found in grocery stores across New England. Cedar’s became the first manufacturer to self distribute Mediterranean Foods. During the 1990’s, Abe’s son, Charlie Hanna, continued the Cedar’s tradition as diet trends skyrocketed amongst American consumers. Soon thereafter, Charlie’s childhood best friend, Steve Tsakirellis, joined the Cedar’s family. As the demand for healthy, great tasting Mediterranean foods grew, Cedar’s began to infuse different flavors into its Hommus to satisfy the tastes of its newest fans.

Today, Cedar’s can be found from coast to coast, and everywhere in between. What began as a local success is now America’s Best Tasting Hommus. Owners, Charlie and Steve, have taken the Cedar’s family success to a new level, bringing together the many tastes of the Mediterranean. With a brand new 100,000 sq. ft. state of the art facility, Cedar’s has expanded from Hommus to many other new product lines, including an array of Fresh Mediterranean Salads, Salsa, Pita Chips, Feta Spreads, Mediterranean Sweets, Spinach Dips, and Tzatziki Greek Strained Yogurt Dips. By late 2008, the Cedar’s family grew with the addition of Steve’s daughter, Aimee Tsakirellis, taking on the role of Director of Marketing to spread the Cedar’s tradition."

I never really knew what Hommus was. The name alone made me nervous to try it!!!

My Husband one day got some, and I was told I had to try it!!
Wow, was it good!!! I am now hooked!!
For this review, I was given coupons to try some of
Cedar's products.

Ben and I went crazy. Food reviews are always my favorite!!

First we tried the Original Hommus. This has a very light taste to it. It was very creamy and delicious!!

I have always loved Spinach and Artichoke dip, so I figured we would try the Hommus!! YUMMY!!!

This had just the right amount of flavor to it, and it was very creamy!

The Taboule was good too. For me it had alittle too many onions in it, but we just cooked it with some pasta and oil, and it was delicious!!!

We used the wraps to make breakfast burritos. Oh were they good.

We choose the original Pita Chips. That way we could use them with all of the products. They are very crunchy and have a great filling taste to them.

We also did try the Tzatziki Greek Yogurt Dip-Cucumber Garlic.

That was really good too. It had a very heavy cucumber taste to it though.

Over all, we greatly enjoyed all the products we tried. We will be buying more and more!!!

Now for all of you, I have some good news.

One lucky reader will win 12 coupons to try a wide variety of Cedar's products!!!

I found that alot of their products were sold in my local Stop and Shop, but they are also sold at Whole Foods Market and stores like it!!
